    With the use of QR codes in app-based tickets skyrocketing, marking a shift away from smartcard-based tickets, TransMach’s collaboration with leading mobile ticketing app provider, Passenger, has seen the launch of a new QR schema, allowing for seamless integration with electronic ticket machines (ETMs), including TransMach’s TM500 on-bus and TM920 mobile units.

  • TransMach is pleased to announce that Wickford, Essex-based operator based bus operator NIBS Buses will upgrade their entire fleet with the latest TM500 Android based on-bus ticket machines. The TM500 ticket machine is an all-in-one ticket machine which offers built-in features such as 4G modem, high-speed printer, 8” touch screen, QR code scanner and a powerful integrated NFC reader which only takes less than a second to process Contactless transactions helping . The system also complies fully with BODS (Bus Open Data Service) requirements including generating TransXchange and NeTEx files which enables our bus operators fully BODS compliant with one point of contact.

    This new contract announced at the Euro Bus Expo 2022 event. Commenting on the new arrangement, Bill Hiron, Managing Director of Stephensons of Essex the parent company of NIBS Buses, told routeone that he had been trialling TransMach machines for a couple of months. “Our ticket machines were 10 years old and not EMV compliant,” he says. “TransMach has been very co-operative in adjusting its machines to suit our use. Everything we asked for, it has been done. We’re an SME, and its good to deal with other SMEs.”



    Minesh Vandra, Director of TransMach Systems, is pleased that the company has been able to support NIBS Buses in this way. “We have a ‘never say no’ attitude towards in-house software development. NIBS Buses wanted a bespoke solution and we were very happy to provide it. We are now working with around 300 coach and bus operators in the UK and Ireland offering both on-bus and portable ticketing solutions.”

This system has been extremely successful providing added revenue for JJ Kavanagh and Sons with the digital platform.

The system allows the drivers to view a list of pre-booked tickets for a specific journey and it also helps them manage passenger load.

  • Automatic GPS bus stop update at Dublin Coach. CASIO machines now update fare stages automatically using GPS co-ordinates. This means drivers don’t have to change stages on the machines manually and also prevent any manual mistakes. The CASIO IT-9000 has built-in GPS module and it works out the current stop itself using preconfigured stop GPS co-ordinates. The GPS data will be used to provide real time information to passengers on Mobile App and on web site in the future.

    Ticketing specialist, TransMach Systems has installed it’s CASIO all-in-one ticket system at Dublin Coach and provided full training on the web based back-office system and portable ticket machines.

    The machine enables drivers to validate return and E-Tickets tickets by scanning barcodes. The driver can also accept card payments and smart cards. All ticket machines are connected to the web server using 3G/Wi-Fi.

    The web based reporting software enables office staff to monitor and analyse journey performance, passenger loading and revenue information in real time. The administrator can perform fares changes instantly using the intuitive web based fares management tool.

    November 19, 2012 - Parkeon, the leading ticketing technology company, has appointed Harrow-based TransMach Systems as its distribution partner serving independent bus operators.

    The agreement covers the whole of the UK and is designed to ensure that smaller operators receive dedicated support for the installation and operation of the company's sophisticated on-vehicle systems.

    Says Gavin Trimnell, Parkeon's Head of UK Sales: "TransMach is a very progressive company with significant experience in working with smaller fleets. This appointment will ensure that operators investing in Parkeon ticketing systems will receive expert support from installation through to configuration and beyond."

    TransMach offers an end-to-end service, from specifying and installing fare collection systems to providing a customer helpdesk.

  • Casio Appoints TransMach Systems as a Key Technology Partner for Ticketing Solutions

    CASIO Computer Co. Ltd., announced today that it has appointed TransMach Systems as a key technology partner for bus, tram and coach ticketing. Working with CASIO, TransMach will introduce the CASIO IT-9000 as the advanced ticketing and payment solution to the transport operators.

    The IT-9000 is an all-in-one handheld printer terminal equipped with a built-in thermal printer and near field communication (NFC) reader/writer designed for contactless smart cards and radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags. Options include a C-MOS Imager for scanning 1D and 2D symbologies, a magnetic card reader, 3G wireless WAN capable of high-speed downlink packet access (HSDPA), GPS capabilities, and a colour auto-focus digital camera.
